Passenger Forum – 2011, organised by Business Dialogue and the Argumenty i Fakty publishing house, will be held at the Swissotel Red Hills Conference Centre (Moscow) on 29 March 2011. The event will take place with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. The strategic partner for the forum is Russian Railways.

The forum is being held for the first time, and it will be discussing important passenger-related issues concerning the development of the passenger transport market in Russia: the strategy for developing passenger transport, tariff regulation, the quality of services provided, developing transport engineering and ensuring security.

The representatives of government bodies who have confirmed they will be taking part in the event are Sergei Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Viktor Voitenko, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Transport Security and Transport Regulation of the Russian State Duma.
The Passenger Forum is taking place with the support of the Russian Ministry of Transport and the active participation of the Russian Ministry of Regional Development.

Those taking part in the discussions will include Nikolai Lyamov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for issues concerning the development of transport and road construction; Inna Svyatenko, Chairman of the Security Commission of the Moscow City Duma; and Dmitry Shmarov, Vice President of the Association of Passenger Services Suppliers and member of the Coordinating Council of the Russian Ministry of Transport. Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, is also planning to take part.

Key speakers from Russian Railways, the forum’s strategic partner, have been confirmed at the level of the company’s senior management. They are: Alexander Tishanin, Vice President of RZD; Mikhail Akulov, Vice President of RZD and Managing Director of the Federal Passenger Company; and Sergei Abramov, head of the Railway Stations Directorate, a subsidiary of RZD.

Representatives of companies such as IBM, Sky Express, Avianova, Siemens AG in Russia, ZhASO, NK Rosneft, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok, Iveco, Bombardier, Transmashholding, Alstom and many others have been invited to the event.
