The event has the format of an international conference-cum-exhibition, which will present to railway and IT officials and specialists the latest domestic and world achievements in ensuring efficient and smooth railway functioning.

The conference will involve a discussion of the key aspects of introducing information technologies in managing the transport infrastructure. Numerous formats will address the ever important business issues of effective IT architecture and IT resource management.

The discussion topics range from use of the universal electronic card and implementation of a single transport application, to introduction of remote release technology when moving goods across borders, to improving the services rendered to transport network users at the interface between railway and seaport.

For the first time in conference practice, there will be an expert dialogue between leading IT experts of major Russian infrastructure companies on development of multimodal carriage through the prism of improved transport infrastructure management. The oil and gas sector will be represented by R. Gimranov, chief of the information technologies unit at Surgutneftegaz, and A. Illarionov, chief of informatisation and corporate management at RZD. IT directors of major production and energy enterprises are expected to confirm their participation shortly.

Considerable attention will be focused on virtualisation and cloud calculation for the transport industry. These IT growth areas will be covered by the presentations from such leading IT companies on the Russian market as the AMT Group, GK Informzashchita, InfoTeKS and others. Heads of the domestic IT industry leaders – DigitalDesign, AVRORAID and Tekhnoserv – will present their services and new developments for the transport business.

Representatives of IBM, one of the world’s biggest IT developers, are expected to take an active part in the conference.
