The VI International Rail Business Forum "Strategic Partnership 1520" will be held from 31 May to 2 June in Sochi at Radisson Lazurnaya Hotel.  

The Strategic Partnership 1520 forum in Sochi is a traditional discussion platform for railway business leaders across Eurasia. 

Over 1,000 delegates come to the annual event, including the heads of national railway companies, private railway operators, freight owners, rail equipment and technology manufacturers, as well as the representatives of government agencies, international organisations and financial institutions in Russia, Europe and other parts of the world. This year, the forum will be attended by German Transport Minister Peter Ramsauer and EU Transport Commissioner Siim Kallas, among others. A board of independent directors has been formed from among business experts who are not directly interested in the rail business, which helps ensure an unbiased assessment of the discussion results. 

The forum’s key partners traditionally include Siemens AG, Deutsche Bahn AG and Russian Railways JSCo.  

The main focus is the strategic cooperation of the 1520 and 1435 mm gauge systems, with the agenda including such urgent issues in Eurasia’s rail business development as attracting investment, creating an effective system of corporate governance, the role of human resources, high-speed service development priorities and the modernisation of existing railway stations.
