The Forum will begin with the Opening Ceremony, which will be attended by Abid Sharifov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan; Arif Askerov, Chairman of Azerbaijan State Railways; Vadim Morozov, First Vice President of Russian Railways JSC; Ziya Mamedov, Transport Minister of Azerbaijan; Eligijus Masiulis, the Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communications;  Askar Mamin, President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC; Sergei Tugarinov, Deputy Director of Department of the Russian Ministry of Transport; Tadeusz Szozda, Chairman of the Organisation for Cooperation between Railways (OSJC), and other guests.

The forum’s main event will be the Plenary Session, where important aspects of productive cooperation in the Caucasus region and opportunities to unlock the transit potential of the North-South corridor will be discussed by the representatives of the international business community and the world’s largest financial institutions, including the World Bank, Bombardier Transportation, Texparo, Siemens AG, Plasser & Theurer, Rustranscom, TransCreditBank, EuroTransCom, Transcontainer, Rusagrotrans, KIT Finance, and others.

The delegates will also consider prospects for developing the North-South transport corridor, increasing transit freight flows across the Caucasus region, the mechanisms for balancing export and import freight traffic, and opportunities for implementing the multimodal potential of the logistics service and for improving cooperation between national railway administrations with a view to enhancing the competitiveness of the North-South corridor.
