In his letter the Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways notes that the AzerbaijanRepublic lies at the centre of all the region’s transit traffic and is actively participating in the creation of international transport corridors. Moreover, the current increase in the transit potential of the “North – South” transport corridor in terms of the implementation of the state plan to develop Azerbaijan’s railways undoubtedly makes it especially appropriate that the forthcoming rail business forum will be held in the city of Baku.

It will be recalled that the event is timed to coincide with celebration of the 130th anniversary of the forum’s general partner – Azerbaijan Railways. The forum’s international general partner is Russian Railways. The organizer of the event is Business Dialogue.
