On behalf of the EuroAsian Logistic Association, I welcome the organisers, participants and guests of the 14th Moscow International Exhibition and Conference «TransRussia 2009».
Russia has been recently facing a process of logistic market development from the centre to the regions, which is, mainly, related to active expansion of international and national trade networks in the country. Following trade networks logistic service operators go into the regions.
Significant expansion of the range of logistic services in the Russian market is expected, especially in the cooperation with major trade networks and manufacturers.
Russian logistic operators feature growing competence in rendering services in the field of reserve level optimization, integration of computer systems and joint cost management. Growing competence is proved by the results of annual TransRussia exhibition, which has been run for 14 years.
In conditions of increasing competition in the Russian market of transport and logistic services, partnership relations between participants of the global supply chain will go from strength to strength. Associations of companies and logistic networks start to govern the market.
Terminal logistic system of Russia developed within international transport corridors and consolidating production and consumption markets in Eurasia should become competitive, according to experts' opinion, within the next 5-10 years.
Solution of this task requires efforts in not just development of interaction between Associations and Unions representing various market sectors, but also in elaboration of state-private partnership mechanism based on the implementation of major transport and logistic infrastructure projects.
