On behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I welcome participants, guests and the organisers of the 14th Moscow International Exhibition and Conference «TransRussia 2009».
The most important tasks of the Russian transport complex are reliable and steady passenger and freight transportation, quality improvement of transport services rendered to cargo owners, realization of the huge potential of the country in the field of transportation development on the basis of cooperation and integration with transport systems of other countries.
During the years of its work TransRussia exhibition and conference have occupied a strong position of the largest transport forum, the purpose and the goal of which is to present modern technologies of freight transportation, demonstrate opportunities in the field of transit shipments, assist in the reconstruction and modernization of the transport infrastructure of the country with the involvement of Russian and foreign investments.
I am confident that the 14th Moscow International Exhibition and Conference «TransRussia 2009» will contribute to the promotion of interesting investment projects, and development of new methods and forms of operation in the transport complex of Russia.
