 Dear colleagues!
On behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation I greet participants, guests and organizers of the II International regional rail business forum “1520 Strategic Partnership: Central Asia”!
Railway transport has historically been one of the key sectors of economy of Russia and played an important role in providing social and economic stability, development of the industries and defensive capacity of the country.
At that, it is evident that under the current circumstances the effective development of the Russian railways which is aiming to provide further growth of the national economy and realization of its transit potential is only possible if based on permanent dialogue with our nearest neighbors – “wide gauge” partners.
The “1520 Strategic Partnership” forum contributes greatly to the strengthening of this dialogue and elaboration of practical solutions aimed at enlargement of the business cooperation between the “1520 area” countries.
I am convinced that the coming forum will give an opportunity not only to discuss in an open dialogue mode the most up to date issues of the railway complex development in the Central Asian region but as well distinguish practical steps for its further progress.
I wish all the participants, guests and organizers of the forum fruitful work and mutually beneficial contacts with new business partners.
