On behalf of the State Unitary Enterprise «Rokhi Okhani Tochikiston» I welcome the participants and organizers of the II International Regional Railway Business Forum «Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Asia».
The railway transport which is the basis of the transport infrastructure of the Central Asia plays an important role in providing trade and economic, social and cultural contacts between the states of the «1520 area» incorporated by not only common technological standards but the common history as well.
Thereupon all-round assistance to the development of the railways with the 1520 mm gauge including the engineering development of the new infrastructure and modernization of the existing one and an increase of efficiency of the technical and technological interaction between the participants of the transportation process, elimination of administrative and economic barriers in organizing transit transportations is the common goal of all the "wide" track partners and should be based on the basis of the coordinated approaches.
I am confident that the forthcoming Forum will become an important event for the branch and an essential step to the further consolidation of cooperation within the framework of the “1520Strategic Partnership” and will provide for the comprehensive implementation of the transit potential of the Central Asia and all the Eurasian space.
I wish the participants of the Forum a fruitful work and every successes in their activity.
