From 1999 to 2002 he is an engineer, deputy head and head of department, chief engineer of the Kokshetausk section of the Tselinnaya Railway, head of the Main Track Directorate, director of DGP Remput, deputy director general of Kazakhstan Railways. From 2002 to 2007 he is director of the Department of Trunk Line Network of JSC Kazakhstan Railways, CEO of the Directorate for Trunk  Line Network of JSC Kazakhstan Railways, an advisor to President of JSC Kazakhstan Railways, director general of TOO Kamkor Maintenance Corporation. From April, 2008, he has been Vice President for Development of JSC Kazakhstan Railways.

In 2002 organized research and commissioning center “Ekonomtrans-consulting”, was elected the Chairman of National Expeditors’ Association of Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Transport Operators and Container Operators Association, Editor-in-chief of scientific and technical magazine “Magistral”, author of many books and more than 400 articles.
