Dear colleagues! The ongoing integration together with the rapid development of trade and economic relations among European and Asian countries set new tasks for the transport networks of our nations. These challenges differ greatly from those we have faced before, when the transport was mainly considered as a means to transfer goods and merchandise only. With this in mind, it seems obvious that the importance of the VI International Conference “Transport Services’ Market: Cooperation and Partnership” is as high as never before. The modernization of the transport service market, introduction of innovative technologies into transportation and peculiarities of interaction among the major players in the market in the new environment as well as many other critical issues are the ones on the agenda of the forthcoming forum, because their resolution is the key to open doors for a massive development of international transportation along the Trans-Siberian route in a bid to realize effectively the transit potential of the Trans-Siberian railway. The scale of the event, which for the sixth year in succession puts together carriers, consumers of transport services and owners of transport infrastructure in CIS, Baltic, European and Asian countries, will undoubtedly facilitate better cooperation among partners, who seek to work out coordinated solutions and approaches that will satisfy all the participants in the transport process.
