On behalf of the JSC Russian Railways board of directors I welcome the participants, guests and initiators of VI International Conference “Transport services market: cooperation and partnership. 10 years of railway transport reform”.
This Forum has become a convenient platform for discussing topical issues of the railway industry, exchanging opinions on the railway transport operation as well as arriving at joint positive solutions to achieve the set objectives.
For the years of work and reforms JSC Russian Railways has shown dynamical economic growth and good potential for further effective development. But I must stress that the implementation of our plans is impossible without constant constructive dialogue between the parties concerned: representatives of states, transport companies and freight owners.
Our common task is to develop this interaction, to expand thematic discussion between the consumers of transport services, carriers and owners of railway infrastructure. The strengthening of the Russian railway transport image and organic integration of JSC Russian Railways into the international transportation system are impossible without a qualitative breakthrough: keeping the high reliability and work speed of the transportation complex it necessary to constantly broaden the spectrum of services and at the same time we should try to reduce our transport expanses.
I wish successful work, establishment of fruitful contacts and conclusion of mutually beneficial contracts to all participants in the conference.
President of Open Joint-Stock Company "Russian Railways" V.I. Yakunin
