The VI International Conference “Transport Service Market: cooperation and partnership. 10 years of railway transport reform” will take place at “Crocus Expo” (Moscow) on October, 29-30, 2008.
The conference will be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, including representatives of legislative and executive branches of power, regional administrations, as well as top-managers of Russian Railways JSC, leading Russian and foreign transport companies, international transport organizations, and high-ranking officials of transport and logistic companies, consignors and seaport terminals.
The two-day conference will allow the participants to discuss the following issues: progress of the railway reform; state regulation of the railway sector, transition to free market, prospects of private entrepreneurship in transportation business; the reform of the long-haul passenger transport system, the improvement of traffic capacities of seaports and adjacent railways, investment capabilities and advantages of the Russian railways, interaction of 1520 Space member-states under the conditions of the on-going reform, tariff regulation during the reform, legal support of the structural reorganization of the railway transport, feasibility of separating the infrastructure from carrier operations and best practices to achieve this, and many other most critical issues, brought to the agenda.
The conference will also include a briefing, devoted to the role, played by the modernization of the Russian railways in the course of the reform of country’s natural monopolies.
Participants will have to pay fees for attending the conference, which will cover attendance of all meetings, the provision of conference documents, coffee-breaks, launches, and informal evening events. Participation fee is 1 450 Euro (the 18% VAT is included). Transfer and accommodation expenses are also to be borne by the delegates. The organizer will do its best to help with accommodations, if necessary.
The conference is co-organized by Business Dialog Ltd. and the editorial board of the RZD-Partner magazine, supported by Russian Railways JSC.
