Greetings to the participants

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the JSC “RZDstroy” I’d like to welcome all the participants and guests of an Franco-Russian Transport Conference entitled “Russia - Europe: The Prospects of a Unified Transport Network”!

Improving the efficiency of the transport sector is a strategically important task for each country. To archive this goal it it’s necessary to take over international best practices, to bet on the implementation of logistics and management innovations, to widely use modern information technologies.

Today we are facing an important task - creating a unified system of international transport and passenger corridors. To effectively manage the growing passenger traffic in commercial and public transport, modernization and construction of new rail infrastructure, creation of new high-speed lines, improvement of transportation process in cross-border communication are needed.

I personally believe that our joint efforts will let us find new ideas and solutions to form a unified transport network and an integrated railroading market and to strengthen cooperation between France and Russia.
I have no doubt that in the framework of the conference we will find constructive decisions for  many topical issues of the transport systems, modernization and development of both of our countries.
