The IX International Conference “The transport services market: cooperation and partnership” will take place on 14–15 December at the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel

The participants will discuss how to maintain the balance of interests and mutual responsibility for the development of rail transport between the industry and the state, the future of the state procurement system in the context of market-led forms of railway management, and mechanisms of public–private partnership in relation to the industry. It is proposed to have a significant focus on current instruments for financing the industry and modernising the railway industry in a context of a limited tariff increases.
In order to deal with all the urgent issues facing the railway industry in a comprehensive and integrated way, it is planned to use a number of non-standard interactive discussion formats, including an “Open Forum” and a “Discussion Club”, with the participation of senior executives from RZD and key players in the transport process, freight consignors, operator companies, and ministries and departments relevant to the industry.

Those taking part in the conference will be members of the Government of the Russian Federation and representatives of ministries and federal agencies and departments whose work determines the conditions in which the transport industry works; deputies of the State Duma and members of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and senior executives from RZD. Business will be represented by Mechel, GlobalTrans, Eurosib, Evraz Group S.А., VTB Capital holding, Severstal, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
